Enfield has no public New Year's Eve fireworks; its display was on 31 October. The Thames show is ticket only, from £20 for Londoners, first batch on sale now.
There is no public New Year’s Eve fireworks display in Enfield. The council’s one big display this year was the Town Park Fireworks on Saturday 31 October, themed for Halloween (Dugdale Arts Centre box office). None of the borough’s own venues, the Dugdale Arts Centre, Forty Hall or Millfield Theatre, lists a New Year’s Eve event, and the council’s winter events page was still empty on 24 October.
For fireworks at midnight, the choice is the Mayor of London’s display on the Thames, and that needs a ticket.
The quick answer
No Enfield display on 31 December 2026. The London fireworks run from 8pm on Thursday 31 December to 12.30am, and you cannot get in without a ticket. The first batch is on sale now through Ticketmaster; a second batch follows on a date still to be announced. Tickets cost £20 to £35 for anyone with a London postcode, which covers all of Enfield, and £40 to £55 for everyone else (London City Hall).
London fireworks: tickets and prices
City Hall’s event page sets out the rules. You can buy up to four tickets, and a larger group needs another adult to book for the rest. You may be asked for photo ID on the night. Tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster, and City Hall says you cannot buy them from anyone else.
| Viewing area | Price | Price with a London postcode |
|---|---|---|
| Category A: Blue, Pink and White | £55 | £35 |
| Category B: Red, Green and Orange | £40 | £20 |
A booking fee goes on top. City Hall says prices are the same as last year.
The London discount is checked against your card. The £20 off each ticket depends on the billing address of the card you pay with matching the London postcode you enter, so an Enfield address on the card is what counts. City Hall warns that tickets “may be at risk of being cancelled without warning” if the two do not match, and proof of address may be asked for on the night.
Which viewing area suits Enfield
Every area opens at 8pm and closes its gates at 10.30pm, and you cannot move between areas once inside. City Hall gives each one a set gate and a recommended station:
- Blue, Victoria Embankment from Westminster Bridge to Golden Jubilee Footbridge, head-on to the London Eye. Gate 1 from Victoria, Gate 2 from Charing Cross or Embankment.
- Red, Victoria Embankment from Golden Jubilee Footbridge to Temple Avenue, a side view. Gate 4 from Holborn (no step-free access), Gate 5 from Blackfriars.
- Pink, Waterloo Bridge only. Gate 6 from Southwark.
- Green, behind the London Eye. Gate 7 from Waterloo.
- White, Westminster Bridge only. Gate 8 from Waterloo, with no access from Westminster Underground station.
- Orange, the accessible viewing area on Albert Embankment, beside St Thomas’ Hospital. Gate 9 from Waterloo.
For most of the borough, the cheaper Red area is the simplest trip. Holborn is on the Piccadilly line, a direct ride from Oakwood, Southgate, Arnos Grove and Bounds Green, and Blackfriars is a short walk from Moorgate, where the Hertford loop trains from Enfield Chase, Grange Park, Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green end. From Enfield Town and Edmonton Green, the Weaver line runs to Liverpool Street.
Getting home
Late trains and the night-time timetable on 31 December have not been published yet. Our Christmas and New Year travel page will carry them line by line once TfL and the rail operators confirm, along with any engineering closures between Christmas and New Year.
If you plan to drive to a station, the council’s car parks and charges are on parking in Enfield, and current closures are on Enfield roadworks and travel.
On New Year’s Eve in Enfield
During the day, the Dugdale Arts Centre’s Christmas show Rosie Robin and the Christmas Post has its last two performances on Thursday 31 December, at 10.30am and 3pm, at 39 London Road, EN2 6DS. It is a puppetry and song story for families, at £14 for adults and £12 for children (Dugdale Arts Centre).
The Millfield Theatre pantomime ends the day before, on Wednesday 30 December; the last public shows are on our pantomime page.
If a pub, restaurant or community group in Enfield is holding a New Year’s Eve event open to the public, send the details to hello@enfieldtoday.co.uk and we will add it here.
