Christmas Day lunch costs £66 to £97.50 at nine Enfield borough pubs, with festive menus from £15.49: 2026 prices, deposits and pay-by dates for each.

For Christmas Day in Enfield, the menus most people will find are at the Robin Hood on the Ridgeway (three courses for £97.50), the Plough at Crews Hill (£69.95) and the two Toby Carvery restaurants at the Halfway House and Whitewebbs (£77.99 and £72.99). The lowest Christmas Day price is £66 at the Crown and Horseshoes by the New River. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 1 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the price on the pub’s own 2026 Christmas menu, what that includes, when it is served and what the pub says about deposits and booking, plus its Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating from Enfield Council’s inspections. Prices are for three courses and exclude any service charge unless we say otherwise.

The Ridgeway and Crews Hill

1. The Robin Hood, The Ridgeway

The Robin Hood has been a McMullen’s pub since 1904 and sits in the hamlet of Botany Bay on the Ridgeway. The brewery describes a “roaring log fire” and a “conservatory on stilts, over-looking the London skyline”.

It serves McMullen’s Destination Inns Christmas Day menu at £97.50 for three courses, the highest price on this list. Starters include pan-seared scallops and beef carpaccio; mains are roast turkey and beer-baked ham, beef fillet Rossini, a duo of duck, lamb sirloin, stone bass or a vegan roasted butternut squash.

Tea or coffee, truffles and a mini mince pie follow. Children 12 and under eat half price.

The festive menu runs from 1 November except Christmas Day.

2. The Ridgeway Tavern, The Ridgeway

The Ridgeway Tavern is the Ember Inns pub at 76 The Ridgeway, between Enfield Town and Botany Bay. Its Christmas page gives Christmas Day as three courses for £71.95 for adults and £35.95 for children.

The Ember Inns Christmas Day menu names “the Ultimate Christmas Duo”, grilled salmon and hand-carved roast beef among the dishes, and the pub says there are vegetarian and vegan choices and a children’s Christmas Day menu. For the rest of December the festive set menu is two courses for £22.99 (children £9.99), and Boxing Day is three courses for £32.50 (children £11.99).

Breakfast with Santa costs £12.99 a head.

3. The Plough, Crews Hill

The Plough has been with McMullen’s since 1905 and stands on Cattlegate Road among the Crews Hill garden centres. The brewery calls it “a blooming lovely pub” and lists parking, a garden and dogs welcome.

It serves the Mac’s Classic Pubs Christmas Day menu, three courses for £69.95, ending with tea or coffee and a mince pie. Mains are roast turkey and beer-baked ham, a 10oz ribeye, pan-roasted cod, slow-braised lamb shank or a vegan sweet potato and cranberry roast; a cheese board is £8.75 a head extra.

Children 12 and under eat half price, or there is a children’s Christmas menu at £35. The pub also offers a Christmas buffet at £22.95 a head for ten or more, and anyone booking in November gets a glass of Prosecco for the lead booker.

4. Toby Carvery Whitewebbs House, Whitewebbs Lane

This Toby Carvery is in Whitewebbs House, on the edge of Whitewebbs Park north of Enfield. Its Christmas Day page gives Christmas Day dining at £72.99: a festive starter, then the carvery with hand-carved meats, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and trimmings, then dessert.

Toby Carvery says a deposit may be taken when you book. The festive menu for the rest of the season costs from £15.79 Monday to Friday, £17.79 on Saturdays and £20.79 on Sundays.

The FSA rated it 3 in June 2026, the lowest rating on this list.

Enfield Town

5. The Crown and Horseshoes, Horseshoe Lane

The Crown and Horseshoes is the Greene King pub on Horseshoe Lane, off Church Street beside the New River. Its Christmas Day page offers three courses for £66, the lowest Christmas Day price here.

Starters include smoked salmon, a twice-baked cheddar soufflé and butternut and sweet potato soup; mains include hand-carved roast turkey with pigs in blankets and a Yorkshire pudding, a duo of salmon and black tiger prawns, and a cranberry-glazed nut roast. The festive menu runs from 12 November to 3 January, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, at two courses for £22.95 or three for £25.95.

6. The Cricketers, Chase Side Place

The Cricketers has been a McMullen’s house since 1919 and is “tucked just off the main road” at Chase Side Place; the brewery tells you to look for its wicket-keeper sign. It serves the same Mac’s Classic Pubs Christmas Day menu as the Plough: three courses for £69.95, with roast turkey and ham, ribeye, cod, lamb shank or a vegan roast, and tea or coffee with a mince pie to finish.

Children 12 and under eat half price. The festive menu is £26.50 for two courses or £30.50 for three, from 1 November except Christmas Day.

The FSA rated it 4 in December 2025.

7. The Gryphon, Grange Park

The Gryphon is the Ember Inns pub on Vera Avenue, a short walk from Grange Park station. Its Christmas Day menu page gives three courses for £74.95 for adults and £37.50 for children, naming “the Ultimate Christmas Duo”, grilled salmon and hand-carved roast beef among the dishes.

There is a children’s Christmas Day menu, and vegetarian and vegan choices. The festive set menu for the rest of December is two courses for £22.99 (children £9.99), Boxing Day is three courses for £32.50 (children £11.99), and Breakfast with Santa is £12.99 a head.

8. The Stag and Hounds, Bury Street West

The Stag and Hounds is the Ember Inns pub on Bury Street West in Edmonton. Its Christmas page gives Christmas Day as three courses for £68.95 for adults and £34.50 for children, from the same Ember Inns Christmas Day menu as the Gryphon and the Ridgeway Tavern, with a children’s menu and vegetarian and vegan choices.

Its festive set menu is the cheapest of the three Ember pubs at £21.49 for two courses (children £9.99), and Boxing Day is three courses for £30.95 (children £11.99). Breakfast with Santa is £12.99 a head.

The FSA last inspected it in September 2026.

9. Toby Carvery Enfield, the Halfway House

The Halfway House Toby Carvery is on the A10 Great Cambridge Road. Its Christmas Day page gives Christmas Day dining at £77.99, built around the carvery: a festive starter, hand-carved meats with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and trimmings, then dessert.

That is £5 more than the Whitewebbs Toby. Its festive menu is the cheapest Christmas meal on this list, from £15.49 Monday to Friday, £17.49 on Saturdays and £20.49 on Sundays.

How we chose

These are the pubs in the borough that publish a 2026 Christmas menu with a price you can check. They are not our favourites. We started from the Food Standards Agency register for Enfield Council, left out anything rated below 3, and kept only places whose own website shows a 2026 Christmas Day price. Prices, dates and deposit rules come from each pub’s own site and menu on 1 November 2026. The McMullen’s menus sit under an older web address but were made in July 2026 and the pub pages link them for this Christmas. Several well-known places did not make the list. The Harvester at the Navigation Inn publishes a £21.99 festive menu but no Christmas Day price, West Lodge Park in Hadley Wood lists festive lunches from £35 but its Christmas Day booking still carries last year’s date, and we could not find a 2026 menu on the Old Wheatsheaf’s own site. Check with the pub before booking, as festive menus can change.
